A 74-year-old man presents with a swelling on the left side of his face. The swelling has gradually increased in size over the past 4 years. He is a life-long smoker with a 56 pack-year history. The patient recently moved to the UK and reports having a lesion removed from his right parotid gland approximately 10 years ago. The patient denies facial weakness, pain, dysphagia, fever and weight loss. On examination, there is a well-circumscribed, mobile and non-tender swelling in the left parotid region.
